Matichon Publishing House


In 2003 Matichon Publishing House increased it sales at a
high rate. This was a result of structural reorganization in line with
marketing strategy and the support of all media in Matichon Group.
Thus repeat editions increased markedly.
Furthermore the çHappy Book Dayé traveling fair, designed
to encourage the public to read more, proved very popular,
so that the event was celebrated in eight provinces in 2003, up from
four in 2002.
It is foreseen that in 2004 competition in the paperback
market will grow, so Matichon Publishing House will adhere to a
cautious policy of expansion. However, Happy Book Day traveling
fairs will be extended to more provinces in response to demand.
